Which booking software do med spas use? 2026 report

We visited 233 med spa websites in August and September 2026 and followed the Book button on each one that loaded. Zenoti and Boulevard led. Of the 174 clinics with a clear answer, about 1 in 5 had no online booking at all.

The most common med spa booking software in our 2026 snapshot was Zenoti, with Boulevard close behind. We visited 233 med spa websites and followed the "Book" button on each one that loaded. Of the 139 sites with an online booking tool, 29 used Zenoti (21%) and 26 used Boulevard (19%). The bigger finding was not a brand. Of the 174 clinics where we could tell how booking worked, 35 (about 1 in 5) had no online booking at all. They had only a request form.

Key findings

  1. Of the 174 sites where we could tell how booking worked, 35 had only a request form and no online booking (20%, about 1 in 5).
  2. Zenoti was the most common med spa booking software in our sample. It was on 29 of the 139 sites with online booking (21%).
  3. Boulevard came second, on 26 of those 139 sites (19%). Aesthetic Record came third, on 14 of 139 (10%).
  4. Zenoti, Boulevard and Aesthetic Record showed up 69 times across the 139 sites with online booking. That is about half (69 of 139, or 50%). A site with two of these tools would count twice, so the true number of sites could be a little lower.
  5. We found more than 30 different booking tools across those 139 sites. Outside the top 10, no tool showed up on more than 3 sites.
  6. Ten of the 139 sites showed two booking tools. In 5 of those 10, one of the two tools was GoHighLevel.

  9. GoHighLevel5 (4%)
  10. Prospyr4 (3%)

Ten clinics showed two tools, so tool counts add up to more than 139. Percents are of the 139 clinics.

Medical spa booking software by share of sites

This table shows the top 10 tools we found. Each share is out of the 139 sites that had an online booking tool. We round to whole percents. For example, 20.9% becomes 21%.

#Booking toolSitesShare of 139 sites
1Zenoti2921%
2Boulevard2619%
3Aesthetic Record1410%

6Mindbody86%
7Vagaro75%
8Meevo75%
9GoHighLevel54%
10Prospyr43%
Other (23 tools)30 in total2% or less each

Ten sites used two tools, so those 10 sites count twice. That is why the Sites column adds up to 149, not 139. It is also why the shares add up to more than 100%.

This report counts how often each tool showed up. It does not say which tool is better. A tool that shows up often is not always the right med spa scheduling software for your clinic.

What the request-form finding means for clinics

A request form asks a person to leave a name, a phone number and a note. Then they wait. Someone at the clinic has to see the form, call back and find a time that works for both sides.

That person is a lead, not a booking. A lead is someone who showed interest but has not picked a time. They may be busy when you call. They may have booked somewhere else while they waited.

A request form is not wrong. Some clinics want to talk to each person before they book. But if your site only has a form, it helps to know two things. How fast does your team call back? And how many of those calls end in a booked time? Our guide to med spa lead generation explains how to track a lead from first tap to booked consult.

Why the booking tool matters for ads and DM booking

Your booking tool is where your open times live. Every ad that offers a consult ends in that calendar. The question is how many steps sit in between. With a request form, the booking waits for a call. With an online tool, a person can see real open times in the same visit.

As a medical spa marketing agency, Ryder Scale runs Instagram and Facebook ads that open a DM (a direct message) instead of a form. An AI receptionist answers approved, non-clinical questions about one offer. It offers real open times. It holds the slot with a card on file or a deposit. Then it writes the consult into the clinic's booking system. Today that means Boulevard, Zenoti, Vagaro, Mindbody, Aesthetic Record, Square or Fresha. Only DMs from our ads go to the AI. The rest of your inbox stays the same. Medical questions go to your staff.

Because the booking lands in your own system, you can trace it back to the ad that started it. Our guides to click-to-DM ads for med spas and the AI receptionist for med spas walk through each step. To see how a card on file helps hold a slot, read med spa no-shows and card on file.

You may quote any number on this page. Please link back here and use this line:

When you quote a share, please name the base. For example, "21% of med spa sites with online booking" is correct. "21% of med spas" is not.

Method and limits

Ryder Scale visited each clinic website in August and September 2026 while looking for possible clients. Our last check was in September 2026. On each site, we followed the "Book" path by hand. That means the book buttons, the booking links and any booking box built into the page. We wrote down which tool that path used.

Here is how the 233 sites break down:

StepSites
Websites in the sample233
Site did not load19
Sites we checked214
We could not tell which tool was used40
Sites with a clear answer174
Request form only, no online booking35
Online booking tool139

The 59 sites that did not load or gave no clear answer are left out of every share on this page.

Please keep these limits in mind:

  • Not a random sample. We picked these clinics because they might become clients. Treat the numbers as a snapshot, not a count of every med spa.
  • Small numbers. With 139 sites, one site is worth less than 1 point of share. A gap of a point or two, like 6% and 5%, may not mean much.
  • Mostly US clinics. Most sites were US clinics with .com domains. Canada and other countries are not well covered.
  • Public booking path only. We saw only the tool on the website. A clinic may run other software in the back office that we could not see.
  • Tools change. Clinics switch tools. This is what we saw in August and September 2026.
  • Our own interest. Ryder Scale books consults into some of these tools for clients. We report what we saw, not what suits us.
  • No clinic is named. We report totals only.

Frequently asked questions

What booking software do most med spas use?

No single tool was on most sites. Among the 139 med spa websites in our sample with online booking, Zenoti was the most common at 21% (29 sites). Boulevard came next at 19% (26 sites), then Aesthetic Record at 10% (14 sites). We found more than 30 different tools. Outside the top 10, none showed up on more than 3 of the 139 sites. This is a snapshot of mostly US clinics, not a full count of the market.

Is a request form the same as online booking?

No. With a request form, a person leaves their details and waits for the clinic to call back. With online booking, they see open times and pick one right away. In our sample, 35 of the 174 clinics with a clear answer (20%) offered only a request form.

Does it matter which booking system my med spa uses for ads?

It matters most in one way: whether a person can reach a real open time without waiting for a call. Any online booking tool makes that possible. Ryder Scale books into the seven systems listed above. If you use a different one, bring its name to the audit and we will check the fit.

Can I use the numbers from this report?

Yes. Quote any number and link to this page. Please use the citation line above. Name the base for each share, such as "of the 139 sites with online booking."
